Liam O’Brien and Jacinita Greenup take Wahu surfer groms comps gold coast

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 10 December, 2012 : - - Gold Coast, Queensland -- The Gold Coast Wahu Surfer Groms Comp wrapped up in style today with competitors treated to ideal 0.5-1m conditions at Miami Beach, Queensland. Liam O’Brien (Burleigh Heads, Qld) and Jacinita Greenup (Cabarita, NSW) took out the blue ribbon U/15 Boys and Girls divisions respectively, with Kaya Horne (Burleigh Heads, Qld) and Bodhi Leigh-Jones (Avalon, NSW) securing an all-expenses paid, three-day Wahu Surf Camp at the Hurley Surfing Australia High Performance Centre for a win in the U/13’s.
 
The Wahu Surfer Groms Comps is the only national surfing competition series to fully cater for the ‘micro groms in U/7 through to U/15 age divisions. As an added bonus in this year’s series, the respective winners of the U/13 boys’ and girls’ divisions from each event will receive an invite to attend an all-expenses paid, three-day Wahu Surf Camp at the Hurley Surfing Australia High Performance Centre on March 8-10, 2013.
 
Each entrant will also received a Wahu Surfer Groms Comps t-shirt. Divisions include: U/15 Boys and U/15 Girls, U/13 Boys and U/13 Girls, U/11 Boys and U/11 Girls, U/9 Boys and U/9 Girls (Parent assist) and U/7 Boys and Girls mixed division (Parent assist).
